THE PERFECT OUTFIT FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE

Not only red underwear, but also lace underwear to promote elegant underwear: to welcome 2025, Boglietti has clear ideas.

Luscious dinners at home, balls and celebrations in up-to-date venues, but also sparkling wine and champagne celebrations in the square: Italians are ready to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025. In fact, New Year's Eve remains one of the most eagerly awaited and appreciated holidays, regardless of age: whether you are 20 or 80, treating yourself to an occasion of fun with your loved ones is an imperative not to be shirked. Also out of superstition. In the hope of good fortune, money, success and love, men and women in the Belpaese, full of expectations and good intentions, do not forget good luck traditions. From fireworks to lighting a candle before the New Year, from lentils to pomegranate and red underwear, what are the customs to be respected?

SUPERSTITIONS AND TRADITIONS TO WELCOME THE NEW YEAR

To approach 2025 with the right step requires little, as some customs, not only Italian, suggest. If fireworks, first used around the 17th century, are a good practice among those who want to chase away evil spirits, moistening one's fingers with sparkling wine before midnight also seems to bring good luck. On one condition: the bottle must be uncorked with a loud bang so that the drops splash everywhere and evil souls are driven away by the loud noise. It is also auspicious to kiss under the mistletoe, whose leaves symbolise fertility, vitality and protection, and to light candles just before the stroke of midnight. Their fire, a symbol of purification and renewal, drives away negativity and bad luck. Beware, however, of their colour: white and red are preferable if love is desired, while green promises increased wealth. Money is also in abundance by indulging in a plate of lentils or peeling pomegranates, emblems of economic well-being as well as longevity and fertility. Eating its grains is tantamount to summoning good fortune, urged to knock on one's door even by throwing away old or unused objects and wearing strictly red underwear. Since Ancient Roman times, vermilion, associated with power, health and fertility, has in fact been considered a good luck charm. To ingratiate oneself with Lady Luck, it is therefore better not to take risks and to choose "red" underwear. And if red is evocative of one of the most famous wines in the world - "Barolo" - success is guaranteed. Boglietti is well aware of this, and for its women's underwear lines it relies precisely on this shade combined with intriguing lace effects.

LACE SHIRTS FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE CELEBRATIONS

Elegant but also seductive, lace is the detail to show off in party looks to leave a mark. Underwear, too, conforms to this rule by unleashing knits that, for the refinement of the inserts and the refinement of the details, deserve to come out into the open. The wool and silk proposals of the "Anita", "Asia" and "Ada" collections by Boglietti, for example, are perfect as under-jackets to be matched with rigorous black trousers or satin long skirts for festive evenings. Also intriguing are the transparencies reserved for the back of "Althea", strictly total black, and the sophisticated inserts on the neckline of "Amanda" and "Star".
